MaryLou Kaminski is a self taught quilter who has been quilting since 1998. Her first attempt was a queen size quilt, followed by two baby quilts which were machine pieced and hand quilted. Quickly becoming addicted to quilting and wanting to complete each project, the benefits of machine quilting took over. Since then she has made many throws, crib, bassinet, and doll size quilts, as well as table runners, table toppers, placemats, pot holders, mug mats, tea cozies, wall hangings and tote bags. All are machine washable. Most are given as gifts to friends and family and have ended up in the Czech Republic, England, Germany, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon, Connecticut, and California.
She also sells at a few craft shows and has sold wholesale to craft stores in Flemington, NJ; Chester, NJ; and England.
Most of the quilted products are from basic patterns, but MaryLou enjoys changing color suggestions to make them uniquely her own. Some are strickly her own creations. It's about having fun picking out fabrics and color combinations and seeing the results as they are pieced and quilted.
MaryLou is a member of the Hunterdon County Quilting Guild.
